Foaming a Head with Moving Jaw

Description

I made this for the club :iconfursuit-club: and to remember what i did.

This is my first fursuit, and therefore this is by no means the best way to foam a head, and i'll probably find poblems when I try to fur it, but if this helps anyone... wallah!

Sorry for any typos... i'm tired and my spelling sux!!!

I'll answer any questions, although i'm probably not the best person to ask...

The diagram of the moving jaw is by TaniDaReal. Her tutorials helped me alot during the process... [link]

Experienced suiters - is there anythign i did wrong that you'd suggest i change???

EDIT: Here are som pics of the furred suit. My seams are hideous, and fur generally sux, but it gives you an idea. Also, I dont like the ears and will be re-doint them. What do you say to half perky-floppy ears!? :P

EDIT PLEASE READ: I WOULD VERY HIGHLY SUGGEST DOING FURTHER RESEARCH INTO THE MOVING JAW. IT DOES WORK FOR ME BUT NOT GREAT AND I PROBABLY WOULDNT BE ABLE TO HELP YOU TROUBLESHOOT ANY PROBLEMS. I TAKE NO RESPONSABILITY FOR FAILED JAWS!!!

EDIT AGAIN!:
I redid my jaw because it was uncomfortable and generally unresponsive (i had to move my jaw a lot to get a small movement on the head)... In brief, i removed all the plastic mesh and wires. My bottom jaw already fit properly, (so that there was a small dent where my chin sits and i have contact with the foam on the bottom of my chin, and a small bit on the front of my chin) so i did not have to alter it in shape. I then got a strip of elastic about 1/2 - 3/4 inch thick and pinned the center of it to the jaw, so that when i wear it it was sitting along the front of my chin. Next, i pinned each end of the elastic up into the back of the head (so... when i wear it it goes from my chin, past my cheeks and to the back of my head, on both sides... if this makes sense?). The reason this is pinned, is because i had to put it on, test the movement and stability, and then adjust... if the jaw is floppy, i think i just pulled the elastic tighter so that it fit more snug. When i tweaked it right, i simply glued it in place. this gave me a BY FAR more comfortable mechanism, and it was HEAPS more sensitive... i barely had to make my jaw movements any bigger than talking normally!
I hope that made sense to someone (it doesn't make sense to me so if you get it... You're amazing)... Also, make sure you don't have sharp bits on the inside of the head when you're pinning it and testing the jaw out... i would hope you're not stupid enough to use pins with no balls or whatever to blunted one end, but god knows that human stupidity knows no bounds these days!

This actually helped me, because I came to a sudden realization on how to do the jaw! DUH!! Thanks! <3
